Hammett Design was started in 2009 by me, Brooke Hammett. I graduated from Washington State University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. After working in the Portland, Oregon area doing landscape maintenance I moved to the San Francisco Bay area and joined Ripley Design Group, a leading Landscape Architecture firm in the area. For 8 years I worked with many of the top Home Builders in Northern California and designed countless Residential Landscapes throughout the State. I was able to gain extensive experience designing for a variety of Home styles and design budgets.

I moved to the Sacramento region in 2006 and joined Quadriga, another Leading Landscape Architecture Firm. While at Quadriga I switched focus from residential design and focused more on schools design, Commercial Centers and Multi-Family housing. 

In early 2009 I realized how much I missed residential design and started up Hammett Design. Now I am back to what I love, designing for homeowners and adding value and beauty to their homes through the landscape.  I work with homeowners to design:

• front yards to create a sense of arrival,

• outdoor living spaces to create an extension of the home, and

• beautiful gardens to be enjoyed from the inside and outside of the home.

It is exciting for me to see the progress that has been made with green technology and environmental and sustainable landscapes. I strive to incorporate as much as possible and feasible into the landscape design.
